All facetiousness aside, I was totally planning on doing the picture-with-a-sucker Valentines this year. Then when I saw these marshmallow pops, I knew they would be a big hit. My daughter lives for a) princesses, b) marshmallows and c) Mommy-Fluffy crafts during “girl time”, i.e. the hour after the babies go to bed before she does. I told Fluffy about marshmallow pops and she went bananas. We headed straight to Michaels and Target for provisions and did a trial run last night during girl time.
Fluffy: I want to make a scary monster one for **** because he’s mean and he likes monsters. I want to make him a monster so he’ll be happy and he’ll like me.
Me: It won’t work.
O me of little faith. I should have seized the opportunity to explain that doing nice things for people is not an outcome-based endeavor, it’s just the right thing to do. But I didn’t. I just decorated treats with my Fluff-fluff and put her to bed.
It’s possible that someone may have eaten a candy coated marshmallow with white chocolate chips for breakfast. It’s possible that two people may have. Who’s to say?
