The hottest table in town is at the American Girl Bistro in the store in the mall. We tried showing up without a reservation twice and got laughed out of the building. But Fluffs had specifically requested a lunch at the AG store with her new doll as part of her Christmas present, so we made advanced reservations a couple of weeks out, got our pink on and went.
The tables have little boxes of conversation starter questions, which despite some corniness is actually a great idea. Beats playing 20 questions for the entire time you’re waiting for your fries.
I made a video of several questions and transcribed them for you so you can join us at our table of pink, flowery, 6 year-old wonder.
If you could rename the members of your family, what would you name them?
Fluffs: I would name Daddy, Thomas. I would name you, um, Dandy.
Me: Dandelion? I like it.
Fluffs: I would name Peppers…What would I name him? I would name him Edward.
Me: How about Salty?
Fluffs: I would name him Naughty–I would name him Robin because he’s so naughty like a robber, but I don’t want to name him Rob-Person.
What would you like to be famous for someday?
Fluffy: I would like to be famous for my niceness.
Me: You’re already famous for your niceness.
Fluffy: I’m gonna cut your screen up! (weilding knife)
Me: Alright now you’re famous for cutting up a screen. I think you’re–
Fluffy: My head’s come off! My head’s come off!
Whose kid is this? Anyway, I think she has a great shot at being famous for her niceness someday.
If you could have three famous people as friends, who would they be?
Fluffy: Gwyneth Pollen.
Fluffy. Paltrow, and Princess and the Pop Star, aaaaand this famous girl that she has a secret that she can turn into a rainbow fairy, and her three friends, one can turn into a pink fairy, and the other can turn into a purple fairy, but I don’t know her name.
