I learned many useful lessons from the tree lighting ceremony and girls choir carolling and sing-along.
- A big tree with only white lights on it does not capture a child’s imagination.
- Nobody knows the words to Silver Bells anymore.
- When the choir conductor/accompanist chews out the audience for not singing loud enough and then rants into the microphone about how her fingers are freezing and it’s too dark for her to see her music, the audience does not magically remember the words to Silver Bells.
- Free pictures with Santa are free for a reason. Note that our picture with Santa was not even worthy of posting on the blog. Yes, the glowy-eyed fuzzy pictures from my cellphone above were better.
When asked what Fluffy thought of the excursion, she deemed it, “irritating.” Or more precisely, “iwwatating.”
