Upon yet another holiday, my existing decorations have been swallowed up by my larger house. Great problem to have.
I let the kids help me this year by setting up the cheesy Easter village.
I used the decorations from Flufferella’s last birthday party to decorate the living room. I love this Easter woodland fairy land.
I only set out a few of the precious Ukrainian Easter eggs since the boys are tall enough to reach any useful display surface. All fingers crossed for these beauties in the music room.
I even let the kids defile my counter tops with their Easter baskets which I think shows how laid back I’ve become.
Peppers has been asking when he will be 4. I told him we would have a birthday party for him when he turns four. The morning after we decorated the house, Peppers came into our room and announced he was 4 now because we had had a party the day before. He was adamant about this. He was sure his facts were correct. And he was EXTRAORDINARILY upset to be told he was still 3 years old.
Peppers: “Nooo!! I’m FOUR now. We had a party and it made me four!”
Me: That wasn’t a birthday party. When we have your birthday party, you’ll have cake and ice cream, and we’ll invite your friends to come, and you’ll get presents. That will be your birthday party when you turn four.
And this is him collapsing on the floor and whining, “I don’t want to eat the cake!”
