This year we decided to celebrate actual Thanksgiving with the Lunsfords and Ethingtons instead of getting together for You’reWelcomeGiving on Saturday as we have done the previous several years. Two young ladies from the singles ward also attended which made all the Mormon sexual innuendo (Todd Ethington, you crack me up) all the more giggly.
The first time we thusly assembled, there were 4 kids among us. Now the house was like a daycare with 9 little people running around, and babies dripping off of everyone. Wow. Despite the proliferation of dairy-free dishes since both Sariah and I are nursing dairy-haters, dinner was fabulous.
Sariah hosted and is responsible for the gorgeous decor. This is the first in many years that I have not had Thanksgiving at my house which gave Steve-O Lunsford the opportunity to see me in my pajamas and glasses as I dropped off six or seven dishes ahead of time. We can no longer be friends–because now we’re considered family.
