I just got home from Home Depot with a 12in double bevel compound miter saw of my very own. (I’ll return your saw when I get it cleaned, Kylee. Thank you!)
I am making progress on my morning room. I decided to do something more casual for the morning room to differentiate it from the formal dining room, so I decided to go with this board and batten treatment.
There will be a shelf on the top of it, and I will repaint the top portion one of three colors I’m driving myself nuts stewing over. Eventually, I will also have all the ceilings painted white instead of this pukey pinky beige that punches me in the throat daily.
I am enjoying this work. I put on my safety glasses and ear plugs and saw things and pop them up with my nail gun. It’s all very gratifying to do real work with real results. Can’t wait to see how it looks when I get it all up. Then years later I can fill the nail holes, caulk, prime and paint.
