Fluffy: I know what Martin Luther King Junior did.
Me: What did he do?
Fluffy: In those days, people were separated because of their skin color. He sorted that out so people could go to the same places. He didn’t use violence as a weapon. He had a very famous speech called “I Have a Dream” Speech.
Me: What was it about?
Fluffy: Dreaming that…uh, he…uh, he dreamed about a very nice world, and that his children wouldn’t be judged by the color of their skin. And his speech was in Washington D.C. When he was doing his famous speech, he was shot and killed. (Pause) I’m done.
So apparently my grand plan of using MLK day to make Valentine’s Day cookies with the Jensens for the one year anniversary of our first hang-out/play date is working great. Thank you, Kindergarten. Notice how well Fluffers is decorating her tongue in that shot.
We did quite a bit of experimenting with the thinner royal icing and came up with spider webs,
and awesome giraffe and zebra prints that may not have been 100% intentional.
