We’ve made it to the 50th percentile! Team Salty and Peppers are in the 50th percentiles for both height and weight. They’re hitting all their developmental milestones at the normal rate as well. And recently they’ve only been waking up for one night feeding, praise to the man. I’ve never been so thrilled to be AVERAGE!!!
At birth, at one month, and at two months, the boys have been separated by a mere 2 ounces. Someone at church told me she had been trying keep them straight by remembering “Salty is tiny.” Well, if she can tell the difference between 11 lb 8 oz and 11 lb 6 oz, she is more astute than I.
Also, just a word to all you moms out there: Do not refer to preemies as “tiny” or comment on how itty bitty they are. Never, never tell a mom of preemies that your child weighed 10+ pounds at birth. In fact, don’t talk about your children’s weights at all. Just congratulate the preemie mom on her baby’s awesome weight and silently congratulate yourself that your children were so much heavier.
